I’m a wife and mother to two little ones, a Registered Dietitian, blogger, food photographer and small business owner with a full-time job. I wear a lot of different hats all day long.
Trying to balance raising little ones while also working and taking care of the household makes for a pretty chaotic week. After we had our second baby, it got to the point where it was SO crazy that I started stressing about getting dinner on the table every night. That’s when I decided to try a new method and prepare a whole bunch of freezer meals (with absolutely no pre-cooking required ahead of time) to help take the stress out of dinner. It basically put dinner on auto-pilot!
Preparing freezer meals has been a total game changer for our family and I know that it can change your life too!

"As a busy mama of three who also runs a business, having quick and healthy meal ideas is GOLD to me! Bonus when I have a plan on how to prepare those meals ahead of time to make our weeknights easy! As a health coach and recipe creator myself, I know how helpful a resource like this is to busy mamas who are trying to get tasty and healthy meals on the table. I love the recipes and the meal plan that Elysia lays out in the Busy Mom's Freezer Meal Survival Guide. The meals are simple, delicious and family friendly, and I know this guide will be a go-to resource for me for years to come!"

"I could not be more pleased with The Busy Mom's Freezer Meal Survival Guide. It's been years since I've attempted to make freezer meals, and even then, I only had three go-tos. I love the simplicity of the recipes that make shopping easy but maximize flavor. Many ingredients repeat themselves so it minimizes waste. I was impressed by how absolutely delicious and healthy the meals are. As an added bonus, the book is very beautiful and perfectly organized. The images are absolutely stunning, and the recipes are easy to follow. I also discovered some new recipes for classic favorites like tacos and stuffed pepper soup. We have loved every recipe we tried, and there are always plenty of leftovers even with a family of five. I am grateful to have this new tool in my kitchen as a work-from-home and homeschooling mom who often has busy evenings. Since I don't have much time available for elaborate meal preparation and cooking, this tool has helped us streamline our evenings and make the most of family togetherness."

"I got a copy of this guide and made these freezer meal recipes right before we had our second baby. Let me just say, it was a total game changer! We were so busy with our newborn and toddler that we didn't have much time to think about and prepare dinner. It was so convenient having these meals in the freezer that could just be dumped into the crockpot. This guide was such a lifesaver for those first few months postpartum and I'll definitely be recommending it to other moms-to-be. The recipes are absolutely delicious and easy. I also loved how they contained minimal processed ingredients, unlike some of the other crockpot freezer meal recipes that you find on Pinterest or the internet. Thank you so much for putting this guide together! I plan to continue making these recipes since our family loves them and it makes for such an easy weeknight meal!"

Is this guide just for moms?
No! Although the guide is designed with the busy mom in mind, it’s suitable for anyone in the long run looking to spend less time in the kitchen, less time planning meals, less time grocery shopping, less time cooking, while at the same time saving money on groceries and preparing healthy satisfying, delicious home-cooked meals.
That being said, most of the meals make anywhere from 4-8 servings so the recipes are best suited for two or more people.
When I first started looking for freezer meals, I noticed that a lot of them contained highly processed ingredients like pop and condensed soup. I’m all for easy, but I was looking for healthier options to serve my family. The recipes in this book are designed to be both easy and minimally processed.
Some of the recipes still do make use of canned goods (i.e. beans) and jarred sauces (i.e. tomato sauce/salsa) to make the recipes easy to prepare, but the intent was to keep the recipes as minimally processed as possible without compromising overall taste and flavour. We want easy, but we also want healthy!
I used to think that that you had to cook meat and vegetables before freezing them and adding them to the crockpot, but then realized that it just adds an extra step and it’s totally unnecessary since the meat and vegetables will cook in the crockpot.
The benefit of no pre-cooking is that there’s less preparation involved, less clean up and foods are cooked from a raw state (after being frozen) so the meals don’t taste like leftovers!
Just think -- in just a few meal prepping sessions, you could have six weeks’ worth of absolutely delicious, family-friendly weeknight meals all ready to go!
This guide will give you the confidence and know-how to get healthy and delicious food on the table fast so that you never have to worry about what's for dinner.
Isn't that every mom's dream come true?
